Country House in France

Renovation project and new addition to an existing country house. Located at the top of a hill with magnificent views of the Alps, the new house is divided in 3 levels: the formal area on the ground floor includes the family dining room, lounge and majlis that connect to a large outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains. 3 guest bedrooms are also located on this level. On the first floor there are 2 master bedrooms and 3 double bedrooms, all ensuite. On the basement level there are 6 ensuite guest bedrooms, 3 of which open to the front lawns connecting to the main terrace on the ground floor through the gardens. A cinema room, a gym, hammam, steam room, massage and treatment room, kids play room and large staff quarters including 5 staff rooms can also be found on this level. This project was developed in collaboration with K/M2K Architects.

Barcelona Passeig de Gracia Swimming Pool

Located on the rooftop of a 19th century building in the prestigious Paseo de Gracia boulevard, this sky high swimming pool design was a challenge from the first moment. A decision was made to line the pool with stainless steel plates to avoid leaking to lower level floors. One of the sides was to be lined with large blue glass pieces half submerged in water . These had to be fixed to the stainless steel plates (which in turn were cladded to the existing wall) with a special bonding product to avoid breaking from expansion of the steel. In the end it all worked out and the client’s desire of keeping in synch with the breathtaking views was met.

Creative workshop Hotel

The client’s brief was clear: a small hotel with minimum impact on the site to host a creative crowd over the weekends. We had to be very little disruptive given the rural nature of the site. The existing main house and the new building were to be independent and not connected visually so we opted for a half buried building at a lower level with a green roof. The rooms would all open to the same side to allow more privacy to the main house where the client spends the weekends.

Salamanca Tous Store

Through the use of light and furniture we accomplished an optimum customer-product relationship as well as creating different areas within the store. The shopwindow cabinet pieces were carefully integrated in the window space. This project was developed in partnership with Patricia Gil Moreno.

Barcelona McCann Erickson Headquarters

Renovation project for the headquarters of the advertising agency McCann Erickson in Barcelona. The office space is divided in three different square floors: Creatives on the third floor and Accounts the second floor. In both levels the space is redesigned to accommodate the new brief: enclosed offices on the perimeter and open space in the middle. On the ground floor where the entrance is located, the scope was fixed furniture and lighting.

Linkia Offices

The existing office space was old and in poor condition. Located in a 19th century building in the heart of Barcelona, the new office space for an online training company would have to send an image of modernity blending it with the existing architectural features such as high and large french windows and rich plaster of Paris ceilings. Glass partitions were added to subdivide the space in different areas: teaching and commercial on one side and IT and directors on the other.
