New hotel in the countryside
Nested between the rugged Hajjar Mountains and the sandy Gulf of Oman coastline, the design of the Intercontinental Fujairah Resort is an oasis of sorts, creating a welcoming and relaxing respite. The architecture is modern and fresh, allusive to the heritage of the area without being a pastiche of it. The sea facing facade is sheltered from the strong Middle Eastern sun by recessed balconies and a set of 2 vertical screens per room bay. This project was developed in collaboration with K/M2K Architects.
Full renovation of a street level store located in Playa de Aro, north of Barcelona. Both the ground floor and the first floor were demolished to create a new concept store. With a pre-designed furniture collection, 2 new areas were created for selling jewels and fashion accessories: a premium area on the upper level with a small bar where champagne can be served and a more informal area on the ground floor where customers connect to the items displayed in a more intimate manner. This project was developed in partnership with Patricia Gil Moreno.

Full remodelling of a 19th century aparment in the heart of the Art Nouveau district in Barcelona. Stunning and colorful mosaic floors and ornate stucco ceilings mix with contemporary spaces to create the ultimate urban experience.
The client’s brief was clear: a small hotel with minimum impact on the site to host a creative crowd over the weekends. We had to be very little disruptive given the rural nature of the site. The existing main house and the new building were to be independent and not connected visually so we opted for a half buried building at a lower level with a green roof. The rooms would all open to the same side to allow more privacy to the main house where the client spends the weekends.
Full renovation of a street level jewelry and accessory store in the heart of old Salamanca. Through the use of light and furniture we accomplished an optimum customer-product relationship as well as creating different areas within the store. The shopwindow cabinet pieces were carefully integrated in the window space. This project was developed in partnership with Patricia Gil Moreno.
The existing office space was old and in poor condition. Located in a 19th century building in the heart of Barcelona, the new office space for an online training company would have to send an image of modernity blending it with the existing architectural features such as high and large french windows and rich plaster of Paris ceilings. Glass partitions were added to subdivide the space in different areas: teaching and commercial on one side and IT and directors on the other.
